  1. Heat your oven to 150C/130C fan, and line 2 large baking trays with baking paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mix the oats and seeds. Tip in the vegetable oil and mix well (clean hands are best).

  3. In a jug, measure out the 100ml of honey, and then add 50ml warm (not boiling) water from the kettle, and mix well. Tip into your bowl of oats and seeds, and mix again.

  4. Spread out on your baking trays into a thin, even layer. Bake for 50 minute, stirring halfway through.

  5. Leave to cool on the trays, and when cold, add in the dried fruit .

  6. This keeps in an airtight container for several weeks (although it gets eaten well before that in our house!).
